A delegation of experts from American school nutrition program visited Akshaya Patra, Jaipur to study the centralised mid day meal program. The delegation consisted of secretaries from various states overseeing the school meal program in Government schools of USA. They expressed deep apprecaition for Akshaya Patra program for taking up serving hot cooked meal, whereas even in USA they serve only packaged meals with preservatives to the students, that way Askhaya Patra meal is more nutritous and healthy.
